Contact Us

As women, we have all been in a situation where we felt we, or someone close to us, weren’t being listened to or we didn’t understand how information was being communicated to us.

We are a team of professional women – Financial Advisers, Accountants and Solicitors that will listen to you. There is no such thing as a stupid question.

We assist women to regain their confidence and navigate their way through trying times in their life and get their financial independence and secure their future.

‘When we unleash the power of women, we can secure the future for all’
Former UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon
Gender inequality is a major problem when gaining financial independence for women. Gender inequality is often described by the pay gap between males and females.

By the time women get to retirement age, this gender pay gap translates to a much bigger superannuation gap of around 47%, which means that women retire with an average of $85,000 less super than men.

Women in Super, are advocates for change on issues relating to women and their super through government policy. As women, we hope for the day policies are improved for women, but we cannot wait for policy changes, women must act now to make gain control on their financial health.

Our team of professional women seek to help all women in need today and to stop the financial inequality for those just starting out.

We work closely with women by providing financial education and guidance to assist women to gain financial independence.

“As a mother of two young women, I appreciate how a solid understanding of money, budgeting and investing leads to being able to manage your own personal affairs and helps to create a sense of wellbeing.

In the past women have been excluded from discussion of finance and business, this has created the illusion that managing businesses and personal finances is complicated. Providing women with the knowledge and tools to understand the financial aspects of their business world helps to create confident and purposeful female leaders with financial security.”

How we have helped Women

House purchase

We assisted a client who was wanting to sell her home and move into a retirement village. The process of this can be overwhelming and, with the requirements of Centrelink reporting for such events, can be intimidating. We took care of all the reporting and liaised with the conveyancer to get the correct paperwork to Centrelink without issue.

We often will discuss downsizing properties or selling investment properties to free up liquid assets for client’s income needs. This can involve CGT issues as well as have an effect ton Centrelink. With good advice before these events, we can ensure that clients are in a better position and retain their income and the assets that are important to them.

Centrelink

We have represented a client at the Administrative Appeals Tribunal regarding a Centrelink error, where a client was given a very large debt. We were able to piece back together the correct assets and provide sufficient evidence that resulted in the debt being dismissed by the AAT.

We routinely update client’s assets and liabilities with Centrelink and are their representative if any issues arise. As some clients do not have computer access and all Centrelink updates are required electronically, this is an onerous, and sometimes impossible task for our clients. We relieve them of this stress.

Divorce

We have liaised with our client’s solicitors when financial settlement offers have been made to provide details of taxation/superannuation implications of the proposals. This is a very stressful situation and can have long lasting financial implications for both parties. We work towards a fair and reasonable outcome with minimal tax/long term implications.

What our clients say

steve baker

I have been dealing with Sharon Goodwin for the last two years now through very turbulent times emotionally. She has been very gracious with her time, very efficient with all aspects of Banking matters, Super and much more. She has been very reassuring and encouraged me when fear and anxiety have been present, and my confidence has been at an all time low. It has been very lovely having someone who not only cares but is very capable and informative. I would not hesitate to recommend her to other clients.

Being a woman of senior years, I would class myself as independent, but selling my home relocating to a retirement village, I was extremely grateful to Sharon for her guidance regarding the monetary side of the adventure. Happily, settled now with the knowledge that Sharon is always contactable as well as our regular meetings.
